|Open Lecture||Jung’s Theory of Complexes in a Matchbox
A concise introduction to the Jungian theory of complexes presented in the context of the history in which they were developed, based heavily on Jung’s original writings.
|“Obstacles and Helps to Self-Understanding” by Mary Ann Mattoon
This short article introduces complexes based on many examples. After a short introduction, the students will divide into groups, each group will be given, at random, a complex to work on and present after the break. Further instructions will be given.
|Experiential Seminar: Presenting Your Complex Each group will present the complex they have been assigned explaining what factors in the life of the individual may have contributed to its formation, how it limits the individual, how it serves to protect the person, what may be the archetypal core, … This will be done both as explanation and as a short acted drama.|
|09:00 – 11:00||Open Seminar||Infant Research: The Origins of Attachment We will be looking at the development of the infant brain and the implications this has for the formation of complexes around attachment and in relation to certain Personality Disorders.|
